LaBella Associates is hiring a Reality Capture Manager

Responsibilities

  • Lead the capture of accurate and comprehensive real-world data for architectural and engineering projects.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of field technicians and other team members involved in data capture.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of captured data, including point clouds, images, and other relevant information.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, and engineers to integrate captured data into project designs and models.
  • Develop and implement strategies for efficient and effective data capture, including the use of advanced technologies and equipment.
  • Train and mentor team members on best practices for data capture and related technologies.
  • Maintain and update documentation related to data capture processes and procedures.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure that data capture activities align with project timelines and objectives.
  • Identify and address any issues or challenges that arise during the data capture process.
  • Ensure that all data capture activities comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with environmental scientists to integrate environmental data into project designs and models.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers of data capture equipment and technologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in reality capture technologies and best practices.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members as needed.
  • Participate in project meetings and presentations to discuss data capture activities and findings.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on data capture activities and findings for project stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all data capture activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate data capture activities into the overall project workflow.
  • Develop and implement strategies for data storage, management, and retrieval.
  • Ensure that all data capture activities are conducted in compliance with relevant data privacy and security regulations.
  • Provide input on the selection and procurement of data capture equipment and technologies.
  • Participate in the development of project proposals and bids, including data capture components.
  • Ensure that all data capture activities are conducted in a cost-effective manner.
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement innovative solutions to data capture challenges.

  • Master's degree in a related field.

Certifications

  • Certification in relevant data capture technologies, such as LiDAR and photogrammetry.

  • Certification in GIS software, such as ArcGIS and QGIS.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in a related field (preferred).

Experience

  • Proven experience in reality capture, including the use of LiDAR, photogrammetry, and other relevant technologies.
  • Experience in managing and coordinating data capture projects and teams.
  • Experience in integrating data capture activities into project designs and models.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategies for efficient and effective data capture.

  • Strong technical skills in data capture, processing, and analysis.
