What You'll Do
Lead the development of new cable products by creating detailed technical documentation and ensuring adherence to established procedures. Prepare process cards for production orders using the CA system with precision and timeliness. Generate design datasheets and quotation materials in response to customer requests or purchase orders.
Support internal departments by delivering comprehensive cable specifications, BOMs, and routine data for production, logistics, and procurement. Act as a technical resource for customers, sales teams, and manufacturing units. Partner with process and production teams to develop new materials and samples, analyzing performance characteristics to validate design choices.
Collaborate with quality assurance to secure third-party certifications and test reports. Engage with purchasing, materials, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless project execution. Identify opportunities to enhance cable design and implement innovative improvements. Work with external suppliers and clients to gather input and refine product requirements. Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for emerging projects.
Support the transition of R&D outcomes into manufacturing environments, ensuring smooth technology transfer. Contribute sustainability-driven ideas aligned with corporate ESG goals. Uphold health, safety, and environmental responsibilities as part of daily operations. Complete additional tasks assigned by leadership as needed.
Requirements
Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in wire & cable engineering, electrical engineering, or materials engineering. Bring at least one year of experience in product design or process development within a multinational or major domestic cable manufacturer. Demonstrate understanding of marine, offshore, low-voltage power, instrumentation, rubber, and automotive cables.
Possess foundational knowledge in marketing, product specifications, quality standards, financial principles, and basic legal frameworks. Show commitment to sustainability and ESG principles. Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD. Communicate effectively in written and spoken English. Exhibit strong project management capabilities.
