Penn State is hiring a R&D Engineer Intern

About the Role

Penn State’s Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) seeks an R&D Engineer Intern for the Energy Science and Power System Division. Undergraduate interns will work with engineers on mechanical design, analysis, and prototype hardware development.

What You'll Do

  • Assist engineers in mechanical design and analysis
  • Assist in mechanical assembly
  • Assist in test & evaluation of hardware
  • Assist in the design, assembly, and testing of prototype hardware

What We're Looking For

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be a student in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Engineering Science and Mechanics
  • Must be able to obtain a government security clearance
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen
  • Must successfully complete background check(s) in accordance with University policies

Work Mode

This role is onsite. The work site is located several miles off campus.
