Responsibilities
- Monitor stock levels on-site and at off-site 3PL locations, placing purchase orders with over 75 suppliers.
- To ensure that the call off and placement of PO’s for raw materials and packaging are executed and made available at the right time, in the right place and in the right quantity, in line with a planned production schedule
- Raw Material Call Off - responsible for calling of required raw material and packaging items based on production plan whilst adhering to centrally defined inventory policy.
- Responsible for creating purchase orders on the system with relevant approved suppliers.
- Identifying Missing Material (Shortages). Responsible for Identifying any missing material (Shortages) and expediting the same at the least cost to ensure meeting production planning requirements, escalating where necessary.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.
- Coordinate distribution orders with 3PL providers while considering warehouse capacity constraints.
- Communicate with the Production Planners to proactively highlight potential supply risks.
- Work closely with the Warehouse Team to manage inbound deliveries and optimise labour and capacity.
- Monitor supplier performance, investigate late deliveries, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct weekly monitoring of stock at risk (SAR) and implement preventive measures.
- Collaborate with the European Procurement Team to identify and address supply risks.
- Regularly review and update key product data, including lead times, MOQ, and safety stock.
- Provide forward stock holding projections to support future storage requirements.
- Support supplier performance reviews with relevant data and insights.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar supply chain role.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively.
- High attention to detail and structured approach to supply chain coordination.
Nice to Have
- Experience in an MRP/ERP system (M3 experience is an advantage).
- Familiarity with supply chain operations in the food industry.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- A Level Qualification or equivalent.
