Role Overview
As a Rate Maintenance Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of freight rate information across an international logistics network. Your primary responsibility will be analyzing transportation expenses, setting up and maintaining freight agreements in the database, and resolving rate-related discrepancies with customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth analysis of freight and transportation costs to support financial accuracy
- Input and manage freight contracts in the internal database system with precision
- Maintain complete and up-to-date documentation for all rate agreements
- Communicate directly with clients to clarify and resolve rate discrepancies
- Work with cross-functional teams to address inquiries related to contractual terms and pricing
Qualifications
- Strong command of English, at least upper-intermediate level, for professional communication
- Proven ability to adapt communication style in a multicultural setting
- High attention to detail when handling complex data and documentation
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and general MS Office applications
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt under time constraints
- Proactive mindset with a focus on accuracy and process improvement
