Varian Medical Systems, Inc., a Siemens Healthineers Company is hiring a Radiation Oncology Clinical Implementation Consultant (REMOTE)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience combination.
  • Proven leadership in clinical operations, strategic planning, and performance improvement.
  • Certification as a Radiation Therapist, Radiation Therapy Technologist, or Certified Medical Dosimetrist with at least 3 years of direct patient care experience. Management experience preferred.
  • Over 5 years of experience in oncology settings and healthcare technology vendors.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with a history of collaboration and consensus-building.
  • Completion of specific training plan assigned by the company.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of quality, performance improvement, change theory, and health systems.
  • Basic IT knowledge, particularly in interoperability and infrastructure.
  • Willingness to travel 75% of the time.

Nice to Have

  • Ability to assess and develop workflows through the implementation of various solutions, understanding patient-to-care-team relationships, and aptitude in standardized guidelines for multiple disease diagnoses and treatments.
  • Understanding of key elements driving healthcare organizations' business perspectives and key metrics for payers and providers focusing on quality, patient satisfaction, and cost-based results.
  • Clinical experience in oncology settings as a Radiation Therapist, Dosimetrist, Physicist, Oncology Nurse, or similar licensed position.
  • Solid understanding of medical informatics standards.
  • Experience working with clinical data.
  • Self-starter with a high level of initiative in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with a proven track record of collaboration and consensus-building.
  • Ability to solve complex problems, resolve conflicts, and focus on results.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, ability to communicate with C-level customers and internal management.
  • Leadership through influence.
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software.
