The Business Development Manager – Air Moving Solutions (OEM) is tasked with cultivating and maintaining a robust opportunity pipeline to drive revenue expansion within the air movement product range. This position centers on discovering, evaluating, and converting emerging business prospects while establishing strategic connections with crucial stakeholders and clients. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the role is critical in broadening COPRA's market footprint and achieving aggressive sales objectives within the Power Efficiency Solutions (PES) segment. PES represents one of three operational divisions with approximately $1.7 Billion in revenue, specializing in electric motors, variable speed controls, and air moving solutions sold across residential heating and ventilation, water heating, commercial refrigeration, pump, leisure water, and additional OEM and aftermarket product categories. Key Responsibilities: Opportunity Funnel Management: Strategically identify, validate, and develop potential business opportunities for Air Moving products targeting OEMs. Maintain a dynamic pipeline in CRM, ensuring consistent progression of prospects through the sales process to successful closure. Revenue Generation: Implement strategies to meet and surpass revenue targets by transforming opportunities into profitable sales. Craft customized proposals and negotiate agreements that harmonize with business goals and client requirements. Market Development: Examine market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to uncover emerging growth potential and inform go-to-market strategies. New Customer Prospecting: Demonstrate expertise in application targeting, prospecting, understanding pain points, and solution selection. Gather comprehensive opportunity insights, pinpoint key decision-makers, comprehend strategic business challenges, and guide the team toward pursuing optimal business opportunities. Customer Engagement: Establish and maintain robust relationships with OEMs, contractors, and channel partners in the air moving sector, positioning COPRA as the preferred solution provider. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams including engineering, product management, marketing, and operations to deliver customer-centric solutions and ensure seamless project execution. Forecasting & Reporting: Deliver precise sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and market intelligence to support business planning and leadership decision-making. Continuous Improvement: Engage in product and process training, contribute to business unit strategy and planning sessions to drive ongoing enhancement and innovation. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of relevant experience. 3+ years of sales experience in air moving, HVAC/R, or related industries. Proven track record in building and managing sales funnels, consistently meeting or exceeding revenue goals. Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and relationship management capabilities. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Proficiency with CRM and forecasting tools. Ability to work independently and remotely, demonstrating high initiative and ownership. Must reside within the assigned territory. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: Experience in air moving or HVAC/R industry, preferably as a contractor, engineer, technician, or in commercial leadership roles. Familiarity with 80/20 and Lean Management concepts. Additional Details: Location: Remote, targeting major metropolitan areas in the Eastern half of the US. Midwest, East or South PES regions. Travel: 50%+ Expected Base Salary Range: $125k - $135k + Incentives The salary range represents the company's base compensation for this position.
