University of Miami Health System (UHealth) is hiring a Quality Improvement Specialist 2 to lead and direct multiple complex projects with high levels of functional and clinical integration across our enterprise. You will manage medium to large scale project lifecycles, leveraging project management principles to design and implement impactful healthcare quality programs.
What You'll Do
- Lead and direct multiple complex projects with high levels of functional and clinical integration across the UHealth enterprise.
- Manage medium to large scale project lifecycles from request, assessment, planning, execution, monitoring and optimization.
- Lead collaborative efforts by fostering a culture of shared accountability in a high performing work group.
- Assemble and leverage project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed and developing a roadmap and schedule to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Analyze clinical quality data, identify opportunities, and develop and implement action plans for quality improvement initiatives.
- Deliver solutions that are systematic, scalable, incorporate business process management and advanced technology solutions, and often impact organizational culture and clinical transformation.
- Ensure adherence to quality and data governance standards.
- Ensure recommended solutions meet targeted business/clinical objectives, and a plan is in place to monitor sustainability.
- Communicate from the top down and bottom up regarding team responsibilities, target dates, project status, resource needs, and provide general project communication.
- Foster clear communication and synchronize the activities of multiple projects and teams.
- Create and maintain proper documentation of project related tasks and timelines.
- Present recommendations and strategies to decision makers.
- Collaborate with and mentor employees in Quality Improvement Specialist 1 positions.
- Work closely with the Patient Safety & Quality leadership team.
- Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
- Skill in collecting, organizing and analyzing data.
- Proficiency in computer software (i.e., Microsoft Office).
