Boeing Australia is hiring a Quality Engineer focused on data analytics to ensure the highest standards of quality and process integrity. In this role, you will integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into program processes while leveraging data to drive improvements.
What You'll Do
- Research contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes.
- Develop quality metrics, design, and production certification plans to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Analyze capability assessments to support supplier selection activities.
- Participate in design reviews to incorporate quality attributes into products.
- Perform data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
- Provide material review dispositions for non-conformances.
- Analyze non-conformance trends to evaluate corrective action effectiveness.
- Compile performance reports and statistical data to verify process capability.
- Represent Quality on team activities, integrating requirements into proposals and documentation.
- Develop quality metrics and certification plans for small programs.
- Conduct capability assessments and process validations for suppliers.
- Perform analysis, tests, and process audits.
- Recommend corrective actions for non-conformances.
- Perform benchmarking and analysis to ensure process capability levels are achieved.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- 1+ year of experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or a regulated industry.
- 1+ year of experience collecting, organizing, and analyzing data; summarizing findings; and developing conclusions.
- Experience in business intelligence or data warehousing development.
- Software programming skills and experience with languages such as R, Python, MATLAB, Java, C, or C++.
- Experience applying machine learning approaches to large data sets.
Nice to Have
- 1+ year of experience in a Quality Engineering role.
- Experience developing root cause corrective actions.
- Certification in Six Sigma / Lean Principles.
- Various ASQ certifications (e.g., SPC implementation, data analysis).
- Certified Analytics Professional.
- Experience developing data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Knowledge of BI & analytic tools such as Tableau, Power BI and their supporting platforms.
- Experience managing large data sets, including SQL, eCommerce platforms, and data science methods.
