TechnipFMC is hiring a QA/QC Manager to manage all quality assurance and quality control matters within the Permian area, primarily based at our Odessa, TX Supercenter. In this role, you will champion a positive quality culture, provide guidance to teams, and ensure strict compliance with global, local, regulatory, and customer requirements.
What You'll Do
- Monitor compliance within the Odessa Supercenter to global, local, regulatory standards, and customer requirements.
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and support to the QA and QC teams, monitoring their performance.
- Create and manage the site Quality Management System (QMS), fostering API Q2 requirements and aiding in implementation.
- Support other norms such as API Q1, API 6A/17D, and ISO 9001 for the PPS product line.
- Promote continual improvement using tools like Six Sigma, Lean, Root Cause Analysis, 5S, and VSMs.
- Act as the Management representative for external and internal audits and certifications.
- Coordinate the Risk Management Process and lead assessments for the quality function.
- Support the local management team with the Management of Change (MOC) process.
- Support the Commercial Team in reviewing ITTs and contracts, including developing Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, and Service Plans.
- Liaise with customers and vendors on the development and execution of Service Quality Plans.
- Facilitate local Management Reviews, Internal, Supplier, and Field Service Non-Conformance (FNCR) investigations, and follow up on CAPAs.
- Assist other Quality Managers during crises within Surface West, especially in the NAM geomarket.
- Liaise with the FNCR Coordinator to follow up on outstanding FNCRs in Odessa.
- Liaise with the QN Coordinator.
What We're Looking For
- A relevant quality qualification or demonstrable knowledge.
- Demonstrable work experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, API Q2, and industry standards (API 6A-17D, ANSI, NACE).
- Quality Auditing experience.
- Management or supervisory experience in QA and/or QC.
- Exceptional effective communication and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, motivate, and inspire direct reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong ability to persuade and influence others on an initiative-taking basis.
- A team player with a collaborative approach at all levels internally and externally.
- Effective time management and accuracy with good attention to detail.

- Experience with Root Cause Analysis and problem-solving methods (e.g., Fishbone, 5 Why’s, 8D).
- Proficiency with PC Skills (Office 365) and the FNCR App.
- Ability to develop, improve, and implement processes and procedures.
- LEAN/Six Sigma Management Skills.
- Self-driven and motivated, with coaching and mentoring abilities.
- Lead Auditor certification for ISO 9001.
Nice to Have
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Quality or an Engineering topic.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, repair, and refurbishment of wellhead and associated equipment.
- Continuous Improvement expertise in LEAN, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, Synchronous Manufacturing, VSM, or 5S.
- Product knowledge of TechnipFMC products.
- ERP knowledge (SAP) and experience with Intelex.
- Lead Auditor certification for API Q2.
