dormakaba USA is hiring a Manager Project Organization to lead the operational project organization responsible for the realization of all sold installation projects. This role holds final responsibility for project results from assignment through to delivery and operates within our international, growth-focused environment.
What You'll Do
- Lead the project organization, including team leaders, planner(s), project coordinators, billing staff, schedulers, and indirectly around 20 installation technicians.
- Carry final responsibility for budget, scheduling, progress, post-calculation, additional/reduced work, quality, and customer satisfaction across all installation projects.
- Monitor opportunities and risks, reporting directly to the Director of Operations.
- Ensure optimal staffing, effective department planning, and a future-proof organizational structure.
- Manage and contract external assembly partners and subcontractors in coordination with the Director of Operations.
- Be responsible for procedures, work instructions, and compliance with quality, safety, and VCA guidelines.
- Act as the point of contact for escalations and maintain contact with clients for structural complaints.
- Initiate and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Structure and further develop the department, processes, and structures to enable continued growth.
- Stimulate collaboration, develop the team, and conduct performance and evaluation reviews.
- Contribute to tactical department and company policy.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of management experience within a project or execution organization.
- HBO degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a similar field.
- Relevant work experience in a construction, installation, or technical project-based environment.
- Experience with budget responsibility, capacity planning, and process improvement.
- Ability to initiate change and further professionalize a department.
- Strong communication skills and experience with stakeholder and escalation management.
- Ambition to further develop yourself and grow within dormakaba.
Team & Environment
You will lead team leaders, planner(s), project coordinators, billing staff, schedulers, and indirectly around 20 installation technicians. You report directly to the Director of Operations and function as a solid interlocutor on tactical and organizational levels.
