The QA/Test Engineer will work within an agile team to support clients in achieving business transformation through effective test strategy, automation, and quality assurance. The role includes both manual and automated testing activities and requires close collaboration with development teams to ensure software quality.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with an agile team to help clients meet business transformation objectives
- Identify testing requirements, create solutions, and provide ongoing testing guidance
- Develop and carry out test strategies, plans, and test scripts
- Accurately log, track, and monitor defects and issues
- Support scrum teams by implementing automated testing to influence development practices
- Evaluate test environments and processes to drive continuous improvement
- Ensure adherence to established quality standards
- Provide reliable test effort estimates
Requirements
- Proven experience in automated quality assurance, including overnight cross-browser, functional, non-functional, API, integration, and acceptance testing
- Experience conducting front-end cross-browser functional testing, device testing, exploratory testing, systems integration, and user acceptance testing
- Proficient in building and maintaining test frameworks using Java
- Hands-on experience with open-source testing tools such as Cypress, Karate, PlayWright, Selenium, or similar
- Experience working in an agile development environment
- Must be a UK resident for at least five years with no more than 30 days spent outside the UK annually, or currently hold Security Clearance (SC)
Nice to Have
- Experience in performance testing or other forms of non-functional testing is advantageous
