Swiss Re Group is hiring a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer / SDET to join a team of cybersecurity professionals dedicated to making the world more resilient. In this technical role, you will architect and implement advanced QA practices, drive technical excellence, and contribute to end-to-end solutions as a key member of our DevSecOps team.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to service development by implementing both test automation and production code.
- Build tools and microservices to enable quality across all layers.
- Design and maintain test frameworks and environments for reliable, fast testing.
- Drive quality strategy, ensuring clear requirements and standards before execution.
- Evangelize and support the development team in testing, automation, and DevOps best practices.
What We're Looking For
- Passion, drive, and belief in the value of quality assurance and innovation.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience designing, building, integrating, and maintaining scalable automated testing frameworks.
- Experience building a microservice landscape for testing using DevOps-oriented practices.
- Experience designing and implementing unit, mutation, component, and integration tests.
- Exposure to UI testing frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress) and the Page Object Model pattern.
- Solid knowledge of API testing (REST).
- 3+ years of Java experience in testing frameworks and service code with Spring RESTful-based applications knowledge.
- Experience implementing and validating non-functional requirements such as performance, reliability, and security.
- Good communication skills in spoken and written English.
- Experience with SDLC best practices and modern testing approaches.
- Collaborative, team-oriented, and customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to teach, coach, and evangelize squad members on testing strategy, automation, DevOps, and quality best practices.
- Drives high-level work generation by ensuring initiatives are well-defined, requirements are clear, and standards are met.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge about authentication, authorization, and role management mechanisms.
- Worked with Cloud environments (Azure DevOps is a plus).
- Experience in testing integrations with external systems and migrations.
- AI exposure.
