Version 1 is hiring a QA/Test Engineer

The QA/Test Engineer will collaborate within an agile team to help clients achieve business transformation through robust testing practices. This includes designing and executing both manual and automated tests, contributing to test frameworks, and ensuring consistent quality across project lifecycles.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate within an agile team to support clients in meeting business transformation objectives
  • Identify testing requirements, create solutions, and offer ongoing expert guidance
  • Develop and carry out comprehensive test strategies, plans, and test scripts
  • Accurately log, track, and monitor defects and issues throughout the testing cycle
  • Assist scrum teams in implementing automated testing to inform and guide development processes
  • Evaluate test environments and procedures to drive continuous improvement and uphold quality benchmarks
  • Provide accurate estimates for testing efforts and deliverables

Requirements

  • Proven experience in automated quality assurance, including overnight cross-browser, functional, non-functional, API, integration, and acceptance testing
  • Hands-on experience delivering front-end cross-browser functional testing, device testing, exploratory testing, systems integration, and user acceptance testing, including manual methods
  • Proficient in developing and maintaining test automation frameworks using Java
  • Practical knowledge of open-source testing tools such as Cypress, Karate, PlayWright, Selenium, or equivalent
  • Experience working with Oracle Forms-based systems
  • Prior experience operating within an agile development environment
  • Must have been resident in the UK for at least five years with no more than 30 days spent outside the UK annually, or currently hold Security Clearance, to meet SC eligibility requirements

Nice to Have

  • Experience in performance testing or other non-functional testing domains is advantageous
