Role Overview
As a QA Manual Tester, you will play a key role in maintaining the quality of mobile applications across both iOS and Android platforms. Your focus will be on thorough manual testing to ensure features function as intended and deliver a smooth, intuitive experience for users worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional, regression, UI/UX, and smoke testing on a wide range of mobile devices and operating system versions.
- Log and manage defects using Jira, ensuring each report includes precise, repeatable steps for accurate reproduction.
- Develop, update, and run test cases and test plans aligned with product specifications and user expectations.
- Verify consistent behavior and performance across different screen sizes, device models, and OS versions.
- Engage in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and QA planning sessions with developers and product teams.
- Conduct user-focused evaluations to uncover usability challenges and areas for experience improvement beyond technical correctness.
Technical Environment
Testing and issue tracking are managed primarily through Jira, which will be your central tool for logging defects and tracking test progress.
Work Arrangement
This is a contract position with hybrid availability. Candidates must be able to support business hours in the Eastern Time Zone. Remote work is supported, and multiple individuals may be hired for this role.
