PayPal is looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Test to ensure the quality and reliability of our mobile applications. You will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for Android and iOS, working closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams throughout the development lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Deliver complete solutions across all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including design, implementation, testing, delivery, and operations.
- Advise management on project-level issues and guide junior engineers.
- Operate with minimal supervision, making technical decisions based on internal conventions and industry best practices.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for Android and iOS applications.
- Build and optimize mobile testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing using automation tools.
- Identify, analyze, and report bugs to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality standards and best practices.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Nice to Have
- Proven experience in mobile app automation for Android and iOS platforms.
- Proficiency in testing frameworks like Appium, Espresso, and XCTest.
- Strong programming skills in Python, NodeJS, Kotlin, or Swift.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
