The QA Automation Engineer will work with the Consumer team to build and maintain mobile applications that introduce new users to cryptocurrency. The role centers on mobile test automation, collaboration across product and development teams, and delivering reliable, user-friendly experiences across iOS and Android platforms.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and mobile developers to define and improve testing workflows for iOS and Android apps
- Develop robust mobile UI automation tests that adapt to interface changes and provide clear, actionable results
- Lead end-to-end test automation initiatives, from planning through execution, with full integration into CI/CD systems
- Identify, document, and report bugs, then collaborate with development and product teams to resolve them before user release
- Promote effective mobile testing strategies, including device diversity, performance evaluation, and accessibility compliance
Requirements
- Skilled in test automation using languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Kotlin, with experience in mobile automation libraries
- Practical knowledge of mobile testing tools including Maestro, Appium, Detox, Espresso, or XCTest
- Proven track record creating and managing UI automation test suites for mobile applications, with awareness of platform-specific behaviors
- Familiar with mobile deployment processes and deep understanding of iOS and Android release cycles, including App Store Connect, Google Play Console, platform review policies, release scheduling, over-the-air updates (e.g., Expo), and version management
- Experienced in Agile development and continuous testing practices tailored to mobile environments
- Proficient in QA methodologies such as bug tracking, test documentation, and manual exploratory testing on mobile devices
- Demonstrated ability to test across a wide range of devices, screen dimensions, and operating system versions
- Detail-focused with a creative mindset for identifying edge cases and improving mobile app quality through rigorous testing
