As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of software systems. You'll design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks across user interfaces, application programming interfaces, and continuous integration pipelines, working hand-in-hand with engineering and product teams throughout development.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to proactively identify defects and edge cases in new features and systems
- Develop and execute automated test suites to validate functionality, performance, and security
- Report on test outcomes, highlighting risks, quality trends, and areas for improvement
- Advocate for quality at every stage of development, from planning to deployment
- Guide teams in defining measurable quality standards and testing strategies
Requirements
- BTech/BE in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Cypress, Selenium, TestCafe, Protractor, or Appium
- Proficiency in scripting languages like JavaScript, Python, TypeScript, or Ruby, or object-oriented languages like Java
- Experience testing APIs using tools like REST Assured, Axios, Soap UI, or similar
- Familiarity with SDLC and QA best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of security, compliance, and performance requirements in financial technology environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience mentoring team members and promoting quality best practices
- Background in fast-paced, iterative development environments
