The QA Engineer will apply solid manual testing foundations while integrating AI-driven methods to improve quality assurance processes. The role involves validating features for Influencers, Brands, and Admins across web and mobile interfaces, using AI tools to strengthen testing efficiency and gradually build automated test coverage with Cypress.
Responsibilities
- Conduct manual testing of new and existing features on web and mobile platforms.
- Develop, run, and maintain test cases, test plans, and detailed bug reports.
- Leverage AI tools to generate test scenarios, uncover edge cases, and enhance bug documentation.
- Work closely with developers and product managers to identify, replicate, and resolve defects.
- Test functionality according to the distinct workflows and access permissions of a three-tiered user system: Influencer, Brand, and Admin.
- Engage in sprint planning and daily stand-ups to align with team goals and project timelines.
- Learn and contribute to the Cypress-based test automation framework, using AI to accelerate test suite development.
- Advocate for product quality throughout the development lifecycle, from design reviews to post-deployment monitoring.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of hands-on manual QA experience, ideally with SaaS or web-based applications.
- Proven ability to document bugs clearly, including step-by-step reproduction, severity assessment, and visual evidence.
- Active experience using AI tools beyond simple chatbots, such as IDE integrations, API workflows, custom prompts, or automation scripts, with a drive to expand their use in QA.
- Proficient with bug tracking systems like Jira, Linear, or GitHub Issues.
- Skilled in using browser DevTools for debugging purposes.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset in cross-functional team settings.
- Genuine interest in user experience and how different user types interact with the platform.
Nice to Have
- Experience with test automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium.
- Background in API testing using tools like Postman or REST clients.
- Familiarity with testing systems that have multi-role permission structures.
- Experience integrating AI into development or QA workflows, including code generation or automated test creation.
