A QA Engineer is needed to support testing across Aladdin modules and verify trade lifecycle processes. The role involves working closely with business analysts, developers, and derivatives subject matter experts to ensure data integrity and system dependability.
Responsibilities
- Carry out functional and regression testing across various Aladdin modules
- Verify trade lifecycle processes, data correctness, and reconciliation results
- Assist in user acceptance testing and help prioritize identified defects
- Create clear and comprehensive test plans, scripts, and outcome documentation
- Detect, report, and monitor defects until resolution
- Collaborate with business analysts, development teams, and derivatives specialists
- Support system go-live activities, including issue verification and stabilization
- Help monitor systems post-deployment during the hypercare period
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of QA experience in capital markets or asset management settings
- 2 to 3 years of practical experience performing functional testing on BlackRock Aladdin
- Solid grasp of trade lifecycle stages from order initiation to settlement and reporting
- Knowledge of financial instruments including equities and fixed income, with familiarity in derivatives being advantageous
- Proven experience using test management platforms such as JIRA, ALM, or Azure DevOps
- High level of analytical ability and precision
- Capable of working autonomously with minimal oversight
- Adaptable to working in distributed, international teams
Nice to Have
- Experience with derivatives processes including OTC swaps, futures, options, and FX
- Background supporting live production rollouts or platform transitions
- Basic proficiency in SQL for validating and reconciling data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Prior experience engaging with North American stakeholders
