Role Overview
As an SDET Engineer, you will be embedded in a collaborative environment where product quality is central to development. Working remotely within India during standard IST business hours, you'll partner with engineering and data teams to uphold high standards from concept through deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage early in the development cycle to assess requirements and shape effective testing approaches.
- Design, develop, and run test cases for web interfaces, APIs, and backend services.
- Execute regression testing as part of regular release cycles to maintain system reliability.
- Detect, log, and monitor defects using JIRA and DevOps platforms.
- Build and maintain automated test scripts in Python and shell to strengthen QA efficiency.
- Collaborate with developers to resolve issues raised through user feedback or internal testing.
- Leverage JMeter and Pytest for functional and performance validation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance with proven exposure to JIRA.
- Experience writing test automation scripts and executing functional test plans.
- Strong analytical abilities for troubleshooting and debugging complex systems.
- Familiarity with agile practices and software development best practices.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, C, C++, or Go.
Preferred Skills
- Experience applying industry-standard QA methodologies and tools.
- Working knowledge of Python in testing contexts.
- Exposure to stress and performance testing tools, including JMeter.
- Understanding of SQL, Docker, Linux fundamentals, and Pytest framework.
Technology Environment
