Lead testing efforts for assigned projects, design test strategies, and maintain automation frameworks. Work closely with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders within an Agile framework to ensure software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead testing activities for designated projects
- Define test strategies and develop test concepts
- Take part in system integration and user acceptance testing phases
- Collaborate with business teams, project managers, product owners, developers, deployment managers, and IT application owners
- Maintain all quality assurance-related project documentation
- Build and sustain test automation frameworks
- Create test cases, test plans, test scripts, test data sets, and test procedures based on business requirements
- Share automated test results with development teams to resolve defects prior to production deployment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related field
- Solid knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile development methodologies
- Experience with at least one programming language and software development best practices
- Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks
- Familiarity with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodology and practical BDD testing experience
- Extensive experience using API testing tools such as Postman and Soap UI
- Experience conducting load and performance testing using jMeter
- Strong background in test planning, test documentation, defect tracking, and reporting using tools like ALM, Jira, or TestRail
- Working knowledge of databases
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools including Jenkins, TeamCity, OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Basic understanding of retail banking operations and processes
Nice to Have
- Proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming is preferred
- Experience with Selenium and Java is preferred
