About the Role

Penn State University Libraries is hiring a Public Relations and Marketing multimedia/video communications intern. You will join the PR and Marketing Office to create compelling video content that promotes the Libraries' strategic initiatives, services, and resources.

What You'll Do

  • Build a portfolio of professional-quality, original short video content that illustrates what makes the Libraries distinctive.
  • Record, edit, and publicly release frequent and regular promotional, social media, and news feature-style video content for various audiences.
  • Support Libraries initiatives and strategic goals through your video content.
  • Create content featuring individuals who work for and frequent the Libraries.
  • Work between 10 and 15 hours per week during the fall 2025 through spring 2026 semesters.

What We're Looking For

  • A minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Commitment to work independently under deadlines with remote supervision.
  • Ability to create original candid photography.
  • Excellent written communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Upper-level class standing.
  • Experience creating original candid photography.

Team & Environment

Work in collaboration with the University Libraries’ Public Relations and Marketing Office.
