About the Role
This role involves delivering psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients across the lifespan using evidence-based practices in a fully remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments via telehealth
- Diagnose and manage mental health conditions in diverse patient populations
- Develop individualized treatment plans including medication management
- Prescribe psychotropic medications following clinical guidelines
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as needed
- Maintain accurate electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Provide patient and family education on mental health conditions
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Respond to patient messages within established timeframes
- Coordinate care with primary care providers when necessary
- Adhere to ethical standards and patient confidentiality protocols
- Engage in ongoing clinical documentation and chart reviews
- Support patient engagement in treatment goals
- Utilize clinical decision-making tools and protocols
- Conduct follow-up appointments to assess treatment efficacy
- Address patient crises within scope of practice
- Promote mental health awareness and destigmatization
- Stay current with advancements in psychiatric treatment
