Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Proposals & Marketing Specialist to join our European team, based in Manchester or Delph. In this role, you will take ownership of crafting competitive proposals and shaping marketing efforts that reflect our expertise and strategic goals. You will collaborate closely with technical professionals and business leaders to deliver compelling, compliant submissions tailored to client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full proposal lifecycle—from initial planning and storyboarding to final production and delivery—ensuring quality, consistency, and timeliness.
- Organise and distribute client, competitor, and market research to support pursuit strategies and content development.
- Develop written and visual materials for proposals, presentations, and marketing collateral, demonstrating clear, professional communication.
- Ensure all submissions meet specified criteria, highlight key win themes, and align with corporate messaging and branding standards.
- Maintain central systems for storing and retrieving project histories, boilerplate content, personnel bios, and visuals using SharePoint, Teams, and CRM platforms.
- Support bid/no-go decisions by monitoring RFP calendars and coordinating with business development leads.
- Manage registration and tracking across procurement platforms such as BidSync, and maintain awareness of upcoming opportunities.
- Coordinate internal reviews, including pre-submittal meetings and pink-teaming sessions, to refine responses and strengthen positioning.
- Assist in designing and executing targeted marketing campaigns, including content creation, material development, and performance tracking.
- Collaborate with technical teams to translate complex information into accessible, persuasive narratives that showcase thought leadership.
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of new opportunities and client data into the CRM system.
- Provide ongoing support in editing, proofreading, and graphic design across proposals and marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- Minimum of four years of experience preparing technical proposals within professional services such as engineering, architecture, or consulting.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality written and visual content under tight deadlines.
- Strong command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign and Acrobat), and cloud collaboration tools (OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams).
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple pursuits simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the capacity to follow complex instructions and maintain accuracy across large documents.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across diverse teams.
Work Environment
This is a local-city role based in Manchester or Delph, requiring on-site collaboration with regional teams. The position involves regular coordination with cross-functional stakeholders and adherence to structured project timelines.
