What You'll Do
- Identify and track funding and tender opportunities across ESA, EU, EDA, and Greek national programs.
- Lead the full proposal lifecycle, from concept to submission, ensuring technical, financial, and contractual completeness.
- Coordinate internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality proposals on schedule.
- Develop comprehensive project budgets covering personnel, equipment, travel, subcontracting, and capital needs.
- Monitor project expenditures and financial performance throughout implementation.
- Form and manage multi-partner consortia, aligning all parties with project goals, timelines, and compliance requirements.
- Act as primary liaison with ESA, the European Commission, and national funding bodies.
- Manage institutional projects by collaborating with technical, finance, and commercial departments.
- Lead procurement processes including RFP/RFQ issuance, supplier evaluation, negotiations, and purchase order management.
- Oversee supplier deliverables, invoicing, and contractual compliance.
- Ensure all proposals and projects meet ECSS, PA/QA, and other relevant quality standards.
- Produce milestone documentation, progress updates, deliverables, and final project reports.
- Support resource planning and keep technical teams aligned to maintain project momentum.
- Represent the organization at conferences, workshops, and project meetings, including international travel.
Requirements
- M.Sc. in Aerospace or Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- 3–5 years of experience in space or telecom engineering and proposal or bid management.
- Proven track record managing projects and proposals with ESA and EU funding bodies.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience in technical and commercial negotiations.
- Experience drafting and managing formal proposal documentation.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, make sound decisions, and delegate effectively.
- Self-motivated and adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Must be currently residing in Europe or hold a valid European work visa.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading large consortia and securing major funded projects.
- Familiarity with adapting ECSS standards for space projects, including PA/QA and project management frameworks.
- Knowledge of satellite communications, 5G technologies, and direct-to-device solutions.
