About the Role
The selected candidate will lead project planning, execution, and reporting for programs within the US Department of Veterans Affairs, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring alignment with federal requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end lifecycle of federal projects with a focus on VA programs
- Coordinate with government stakeholders to define project scope and objectives
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource requirements
- Monitor project progress and implement risk mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations and reporting standards
- Lead regular status meetings with internal and client teams
- Track deliverables and maintain accurate documentation
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
- Oversee budget tracking and financial reporting for assigned initiatives
- Support contract management and performance reporting
- Identify process improvements to enhance project efficiency
- Ensure adherence to federal acquisition guidelines
- Prepare and present executive-level status updates
- Manage change control processes for project adjustments
- Support quality assurance and audit readiness activities
- Coordinate with subcontractors and external partners
- Maintain strong client relationships through consistent delivery
- Ensure timely resolution of project issues and escalations
- Apply agile and traditional project management methodologies as appropriate
- Support transition and handoff of completed projects
