Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, ranked as one of the top hospitals in the nation, is seeking a Project Scientist. In this role, you will make significant and creative contributions to a research project, working independently and in cooperation with a Principal Investigator.
What You'll Do
- Assist in the preparation of grant proposals, submissions, publications, and presentations.
- May serve as PI for certain grants as approved by supervising member of the Professorial Series.
- Participate in publications and presentations as author or co-author.
- Develop, adapt, and implement new research techniques and protocols.
- Assist in lab experiments.
- Analyze, interpret, summarize, and compile data.
- May lead or train Staff Research Associates and Research Fellows.
- Assist in day-to-day laboratory activities.
- If on an academic trajectory, commit a portion of your time to develop an independent range of research.
What We're Looking For
- Doctorate (MD, PhD, VMD, or DDS) in an area directly related to the field of research specialization.
- Demonstrated significant, original, and creative contributions to a research or creative program.
- Completion of a postdoctoral appointment in the area of specialization, as applicable.
- Knowledge of the Principal Investigator's area of research specialization.
- Demonstrated technical competency in a variety of research techniques and protocols.
