Black & Veatch is seeking a Project Quality Manager to ensure excellence in our nuclear projects. You will evaluate design engineering, procurement, and construction through quality system reviews, audits, and inspections to minimize risk and maintain a comprehensive Nuclear Quality Management Program.

What You'll Do

Define, create, implement, monitor, and control specialized quality areas including nuclear energy and supplier performance.
Establish and maintain quality controls, standards, and criteria for Nuclear QA programs.
Determine goals and create plans based on project regulations, NQA-1 requirements, ASME Code, and contract agreements.
Develop and provide quality training for engineering support staff.
Develop and report quality program metrics to management.
Monitor progress and report observations, needs for corrective actions, and improvement opportunities.
Establish objective and unbiased audit reporting relationships.
Qualify and monitor support staff performance based on training, experience, and skills.
Review and approve audit scope, reports, findings, and associated corrective actions.
Maintain and safeguard program quality records.
Attend and participate in meetings, conferences, and training.
Support continuous improvement efforts and act in the capacity of a lead person.

What We're Looking For

A 4-year degree in Engineering from an accredited college.
5+ years of experience specific to overseeing the design of nuclear projects.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques of quality processes.
Experience with quality assurance and quality control programs and procedures.
Familiarity with computer applications, engineering design, procurement, and construction principles.
Understanding of project management principles, practices, and methods.
Knowledge of construction inspection, tests, and methods.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and training abilities.
