Parsons Transportation Group is hiring a Project Manager - Overhead Catenary Systems (OCS)

About the Role

Parsons Transportation Group is hiring a Project Manager to oversee the Overhead Catenary Systems (OCS) scope for a major infrastructure project. You will be responsible for the full execution of OCS work from design through to handover, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget, and meets all Contract, Quality, and Safety requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure construction is fully compliant with the Project Agreement, covering quality, safety, environment, and life cycle performance.
  • Manage the work package execution, including detailed design, construction, testing & commissioning, operation, and handover.
  • Prepare construction planning for OCS works, covering equipment, materials, site teams, and supervision.
  • Manage construction work through on-site field engineers.
  • Manage the overall budget for the project's OCS program, including procurement, materials, equipment, and labor.
  • Provide progress data for timely monthly invoicing to the client.
  • Coordinate with the project scheduling team and interfacing scope managers to integrate the OCS program into the overall project schedule.
  • Lead the development and monitoring of detailed working schedules by the OCS construction team.
  • Ensure conformance of OCS activities with contract and quality requirements.
  • Follow up on progress and report on Key Performance Indicators.
  • Manage risks and opportunities related to the OCS scope.

What We're Looking For

  • Undergraduate degree in engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience with demonstrated leadership on at least 2 large OCS projects for design and construction.
  • Technical and operational knowledge of OCS systems.
  • Experience organizing site construction forces for LRT or Tramway OCS projects.
  • Experience specifying OCS components and interfacing with suppliers.
  • Project management experience, including developing construction plans, schedules, and interfacing within a large multidiscipline team.
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license; a clean abstract is preferred.
  • Ability to navigate an active construction site, including climbing stairs and ladders, traversing steep or slippery terrain, walking, and working outdoors in all Edmonton weather conditions.

Nice to Have

  • Degree in electrical, civil, or mechanical engineering.
