Northwestern Medicine is looking for a Project Manager, Hospitality and Construction to lead and manage assigned facilities, infrastructure, and renovation projects across the healthcare system. You will organize and deliver projects under the guidance of sponsors and operations leaders, following the NMHC Project Management Methodology to deliver within approved scope, budget, and schedule.
What You'll Do
- Develop all-inclusive project schedules through activation.
- Develop comprehensive project budgets from early design through post-move/relocation.
- Facilitate the RFP process for architects/engineers, construction contractors, equipment vendors, furniture vendors, signage suppliers, and other necessary consultants.
- Facilitate all phases of the Capital process: inputting projects, securing funds, creating POs, ensuring vendor payments, and closing out projects.
- Directly manage the design, construction, and relocation process, serving as an on-site resource through activation to support the operations team.
- Meet regularly with the project architect and general contractor (OAC meetings) to assure the project is on schedule and within budget.
- Ensure contracted work complies with standards, rules, and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction (e.g., IDPH, Village of Winfield, JCAHO).
- Assist with space utilization exercises and test fits of spaces.
- Provide analytics for real estate decisions and recommendations along with the capital budgeting process.
- Other responsibilities as designated in support of organizational priorities.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Five to ten years of experience in Healthcare Project Management.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, financial skills, and computer skills.
Nice to Have
- Architecture License.
- Engineer, Architect, or Construction Management background.
