Responsibilities
- Acting as a project manager / highway design lead on multidiscipline detail design highway and bridge projects for MTO
- Providing mentorship, support, and oversight to other engineers and technical staff working on your projects
- Supporting and leading a project team to complete designs ranging from freeways, urban and rural multi-lane and two-lane facilities, interchanges, and intersections
- Ensuring that corporate and client QA/QC practices are completed on all projects
- Coordinating with clients, approval agencies, utility companies, contractors, etc
- Developing and maintaining relationships with industry professionals, consultants and other business leaders
- Preparing proposals, project work plans, schedules, and budgets
- Monitoring overall work progress and technical performance on projects to ensure timelines and targets are being met

- The role focuses on serving the Ministry of Transportation (MTO)
- The team has a close collaboration with the MTO team
- Projects include highway expansion, interchange design, roadway rehabilitation, and bridge rehabilitation/replacements
- Portfolio includes freeway widening, interchange improvements, roadway rehabilitation in Northern Ontario, and intersection and roundabout designs in Southwestern Ontario
