Langan is looking for a Project Environmental Scientist, Geologist, Engineer, or Hydrogeologist to join our team. You will manage complex environmental investigation and remediation projects, deliver technically excellent services, and contribute to our entrepreneurial culture of innovation.
What You'll Do
- Manage environmental investigation and remediation projects from inception to completion.
- Perform complex quantitative and technical analyses for specific portions of broader projects.
- Supervise field investigations and ensure accurate interpretation of findings.
- Manage and deliver on multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines.
- Organize, write, and edit draft technical proposals, reports, and other documents.
- Participate in identifying and pursuing new clients and developing additional work within existing projects.
- Provide direct oversight and management of junior staff, including coaching, training, and motivation.
- Coordinate across other work groups and office locations as needed.
- Interface effectively and professionally with clients, contractors, staff, and project personnel.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or Environmental Engineering.
- 6+ years of related work experience.
- Proficiency in environmental due diligence processes.
- Demonstrated ability to perform quantitative and technical analyses.
- Current Hazwoper training, maintenance of annual physical and respirator fit test, and annual 8-hr. Hazwoper re-certification.
- Comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements.
- Excellent public speaking, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects and clients, develop budgets, and manage and coach staff effectively.
- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends as project demands require.
- Reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver’s license in good standing.
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree.
- LEED AP or PE certification.
