Responsibilities
- Act as the principal technical authority during design and serve as the main point of contact for technical matters during construction and commissioning.
- Oversee engineering scope, timeline, and budget in alignment with project objectives, including managing engineering resources for effective project delivery.
- Supervise and coordinate technical work performed by external consultants and internal engineering staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and site personnel to align project goals and expectations.
- Lead and facilitate design review sessions with site representatives and key stakeholders to verify feasibility and consistency.
- Guide multidisciplinary engineering and design teams in delivering project outputs.
- Support procurement processes such as preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and providing technical direction post-contract award.
- Manage vendor-related activities including design reviews, shop inspections, acceptance testing, and handover documentation review.
- Assist in project planning and funding submissions by providing engineering estimates and material quantity assessments.
- Track engineering progress and deliver regular updates on activity status.
- Ensure all engineering work adheres to relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges that arise during project execution.
- Help plan commissioning and construction phases to ensure smooth implementation.
- Provide ongoing technical support during construction and commissioning as the primary engineering contact.
