Join Martin-Martin Inc as a Project Engineer and take on a unique role that blends construction management and utility design for our Program Management and Municipality groups. You will be responsible for overseeing all stages of civil projects, from initial development through design, bidding, construction, and final closeout, in a culture built on integrity, service, creativity, and quality.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate work with in-house teams and external project teams
- Develop, monitor, and manage work plans, schedules, and design budgets
- Maintain client satisfaction and develop skills to address client management challenges
- Open projects, establish budgets, submit information to accounting, and follow the project closeout process
- Manage engineers and CAD/BIM technicians to complete project deliverables
- Manage small to medium projects or significant portions of large projects
- Serve as the primary point-of-contact for clients and contractors
- Participate in production and technical committees or special projects to advance company goals
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited curriculum
- Demonstrated ability to be in responsible charge of projects
- For Civil roles: Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Professional Engineer
Nice to Have
- Experience successfully managing multiple projects from design start through construction completion
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with clients, jurisdictions, and colleagues
- Track record of meeting quality and financial project goals
- Experience teaching at least one technical class
- Strong commitment to continued professional development
- Participating member of at least one professional or technical society
- Active participation on at least one company committee
- Initiative in improving production tools for the betterment of the company
- Demonstrated skill and a positive attitude in completing difficult assignments
- Willingness to take on additional work and responsibility
- For Civil roles: 18 months of experience as a Professional Engineer
- For Structural roles: Experience working in at least two engineering groups
- For Structural and Investigative roles: 2 years of experience as a Professional Engineer and having passed the 16-hour structural engineering exam
