Responsibilities
- Understand heavy industrial construction practices and requirements.
- Review design documents and specifications to ensure clarity, completeness, and buildability for field teams.
- Lead and implement Advanced Work Packaging and Workface Planning (AWP-WFP), ensuring alignment with supervisors and verifying compliance.
- Coordinate with supervisory staff to finalize field execution tasks.
- Work with contractors and project controls to confirm schedule alignment from Level 4 to Level 5, and validate progress forecasts.
- Verify field progress against reported data, compare against QURR metrics, analyze variances, and review outlooks with supervisors.
- Engage in monitoring and communicating changes related to Simultaneous Operations.
- Ensure clear communication of project interfaces to supervisory crews.
- Review material reports with on-site material personnel and confirm contractor-supplied materials are recorded in CDM/FIWP systems.
- Collaborate with supervisors and field engineers to identify field deviations, clarify scope, and escalate potential changes before execution.
- Assist contract management in evaluating contractor change proposals, gather execution notes, and distribute relevant updates.
- Support planning for temporary infrastructure and site access, including participation in traffic management planning.
- Conduct field inspections alongside supervisory personnel.
- Take part in the Field Leadership initiative to support site performance.
- Support superintendents in daily planning and execution across multiple construction phases.
- Monitor and record installed quantities, update project tracking systems, and align progress data with superintendents and project controls.
- Develop short-term construction schedules, such as 3-week rolling plans, in coordination with superintendents and subcontractors using the approved 90-day baseline.
- Utilize project management systems, digital workflows, and automation tools, including document control platforms, to maintain accurate project records.
