Role Overview
This position supports the delivery of project and programme controls for large-scale infrastructure projects, with a focus on energy sectors. As part of an integrated controls team, you will apply proven methodologies to strengthen financial oversight, planning accuracy, and reporting integrity across project lifecycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement cost control frameworks tailored to project scope and client expectations
- Create and maintain detailed project controls strategies aligned with internal standards and contractual obligations
- Generate and manage progress reports, including financial summaries and earned value analysis
- Develop initial and updated project budgets and cost estimates
- Collect and consolidate inputs from cross-functional teams for regular reporting cycles
- Set up baseline cost plans and monitor performance against them, sharing updates with internal and external stakeholders
- Oversee change management processes related to scope, budget, and schedule adjustments
- Ensure data accuracy across cost, schedule, contracts, and invoicing systems
- Maintain planned versus actual cost tracking, including S-curve modeling and earned value metrics
- Manage invoicing workflows and payment tracking for consultants and third parties
- Communicate control requirements and performance outcomes to project leads and technical staff
Required Qualifications
Candidates must show a history of applying PMO best practices in consulting roles on infrastructure projects. Experience in managing financial controls, reporting structures, and change processes within complex programmes is essential.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role with office locations in London, Birmingham, Manchester, and Bristol. You should be prepared to travel or stay overnight near the South Coast for up to one night per week, or live within commuting distance of both London and Brighton.
