Responsibilities
- Develop science assessment questions aligned with educational standards
- Review and revise item content for clarity and accuracy
- Ensure alignment between questions and grade-level expectations
- Collaborate with content teams to maintain consistency in item design

- Incorporate feedback from subject matter experts
- Maintain consistency in scientific terminology and concepts
- Support quality assurance processes for assessment content
- Meet project deadlines for deliverables
- Adapt item complexity to match target student audiences
- Ensure assessments reflect diverse perspectives and inclusive language
- Participate in calibration sessions for scoring consistency
- Revise items based on editorial and psychometric feedback
- Contribute to item bank expansion across science disciplines
- Apply understanding of science learning progressions
- Use rubrics to guide development of constructed-response items
- Support bias and sensitivity reviews for assessment content
- Maintain accurate records of item revisions
- Follow security protocols for assessment materials
- Engage in professional development related to assessment design
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in science education or related area
- Experience with NGSS or similar science frameworks
- Prior work in standardized test development
