The Programme Management Office Lead will support infrastructure construction projects by shaping, developing, initiating, and delivering client investment and business change programmes. This role involves leadership in programme advisory and delivery across the full programme lifecycle, working independently or alongside a Director at AECOM.
What You'll Do
- Lead the team in the delivery of its strategic goals in relation to capability, growth and commercial targets
- Lead or support the delivery of significant, complex programme management advisory or delivery commissions involving multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholder groups
- Ensure commissions are managed and delivered to the appropriate quality standards and commercial expectations
- Ensure a robust approach to risk identification, evaluation and mitigation is applied to all commissions
- Demonstrate leadership in the implementation of AECOM health, safety and environment requirements
- Develop strong relationships with clients and members of cross-functional teams to support successful delivery
- Identify and act upon business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross-selling opportunities within and without the team
- Lead and support the development of proposals through the entire bid process
- Ensure all direct reports are engaged, developed and supported along their own career journeys
- Identify opportunities to share knowledge and best practice and promote the team both internally and externally with clients and relevant industry bodies
What We're Looking For
- Suitably experienced and capable of working independently or with a Director
- Ability to successfully shape, develop, initiate and deliver client investment and business change programmes
- Experience in programme advisory and delivery across the whole programme lifecycle
- Proven ability to lead or support complex programme management commissions with multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated leadership in health, safety, and environment requirements
- Strong relationship-building skills with clients and cross-functional teams
- Experience in identifying and acting on business development and cross-selling opportunities
- Experience leading or supporting proposal development through the entire bid process
- Experience managing and developing direct reports
- Commitment to sharing knowledge, best practices, and promoting the team internally and externally
