Lead digital health strategy and implementation in Meghalaya by conducting a comprehensive assessment of the current digital health environment. This role is central to shaping a forward-looking State Digital Health Roadmap that aligns with national priorities, including the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with state and district health authorities, private providers, and partner organizations to facilitate consultations, secure data access, and coordinate project activities.
- Design and implement data collection tools such as interview guides, checklists, and observation templates for facility assessments.
- Conduct field visits across districts in coordination with government teams to gather insights on digital health infrastructure and service delivery.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify gaps, synergies, and opportunities within the state’s digital health ecosystem.
- Lead the development of a comprehensive report and contribute to the drafting of a phased State Digital Health Roadmap with actionable recommendations.
- Produce project documentation, including meeting summaries, presentations, and progress reports, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Monitor project timelines, manage stakeholder engagements, and address operational challenges to maintain momentum.
Qualifications and Skills
Candidates must hold an MBA or a Master’s degree in public health, public policy, health informatics, information technology, or a related field. A minimum of eight years of experience in digital health, health systems strengthening, or government-led health programs is required.
Essential competencies include experience working with state or district health departments, familiarity with ABDM and National Health Mission initiatives, and strong skills in stakeholder coordination. Proficiency in data collection methods, including interviews and facility assessments, is critical.
Fluency in English and a local language is mandatory. Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including to remote areas, is expected. Prior experience in Meghalaya is an advantage.
Proficiency in MS Office is required, and familiarity with digital health platforms is preferred. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and written communication skills are essential for success in this role.
