Responsibilities
- Track and report on program spending against approved budgets
- Analyze financial data to identify cost trends and variances
- Prepare regular cost performance reports for leadership review
- Support the development of annual and long-term financial plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy
- Assist in forecasting future program expenditures
- Maintain financial models for cost tracking and scenario planning
- Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and policies
- Participate in program reviews and financial audits
- Translate technical program details into financial summaries
- Monitor contract financial terms and deliverables
- Provide data-driven insights to guide program decisions
- Coordinate with project managers on budget updates
- Track funding allocations across multiple defense programs
- Assist in the preparation of executive financial presentations
- Validate cost inputs for accuracy and completeness
- Support risk assessment related to financial performance
- Maintain documentation for cost analysis processes
- Work closely with procurement and engineering teams on cost estimates
- Contribute to process improvements in financial reporting
- Respond to ad hoc financial inquiries from stakeholders
- Ensure timely submission of financial deliverables
- Use financial systems to extract and analyze data
- Stay current with defense program financial requirements
