Support a leading division in Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance through detailed financial oversight as a Program Controls Analyst. This remote-based role plays a key part in shaping financial outcomes across multiple defense programs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic insight in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial analysis and forecasting efforts to guide business decisions at both program and division levels.
- Track and evaluate program expenditures, including labor, materials, subcontracts, and other direct costs, comparing actuals to budget and forecast.
- Develop and manage Estimate-at-Complete (EAC) models, ensuring reliable financial projections and identifying cost variances.
- Analyze deviations from forecasted sales, profit, and cash performance, pinpointing root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Review new contracts and modifications to confirm proper alignment of funding, billing, and accounting systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex financial challenges and support strategic initiatives.
- Create and maintain financial models tailored to high-growth program areas, adapting to evolving requirements.
- Support budget development and ongoing maintenance while identifying potential risks and unrecorded opportunities.
- Conduct special-purpose financial studies as requested to inform leadership decisions.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline, along with 2–4 years of experience in financial or accounting roles, preferably within government contracting. U.S. citizenship is required, as well as the ability to secure and retain a Department of Defense secret clearance.
Essential knowledge includes familiarity with government contract types (FFP, T&M, CP), DCAA/DCMA compliance standards, and financial reporting frameworks. Proficiency in presenting financial data clearly to diverse audiences is critical.
