Western Sydney University is seeking a Professor to provide leadership in legal education and research within the School of Law. You will play a key role in advancing the School's mission across teaching, research, and engagement, contributing to curriculum design and fostering high-impact scholarship.
What You'll Do
- Lead and inspire excellence in contemporary blended learning that supports a diverse student body.
- Contribute to designing and delivering contemporary blended learning that supports students with different learning styles and backgrounds.
- Lead curriculum innovation across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
- Support interdisciplinary collaboration across Faculties and Research Institutes, building networks that advance institutional priorities.
- Strengthen the School's research profile by driving high-impact scholarship aligned with key research clusters.
- Foster new research projects, attract external funding, and contribute to the University's national and global ambitions.
- Mentor early and mid-career academics, fostering strong teaching and research cultures.
- Build productive relationships with industry, professional bodies, and community partners.
- Maintain a national and international reputation for academic excellence in teaching and research.
What We're Looking For
- Hold a PhD in a related discipline.
- Demonstrated leadership across teaching, research, and engagement.
- Demonstrate excellence in pedagogical design and use of educational technologies to support diverse learners.
- Proven leadership in research, supervision, collaboration, and attracting external funding.
- Possess strong interpersonal and collaboration skills across disciplines, industry, and community partners.
Team & Environment
You will join the School of Law and report to Professor Catherine Renshaw, Dean, School of Law.
