Motorola Solutions is looking for a Professional Services Specialist to play a critical role in the deployment and support of services for our strategic accounts. You will work side by side with Sales teams to set up, upgrade, and optimize hardware and software solutions, providing the troubleshooting, training, and post-sales support that keeps our communities safer.
What You'll Do
- Setup deployments for systems like Avigilon Alta either on-site or remotely from the ground up based on customer requirements.
- Troubleshoot existing and new issues reported by customers.
- Conduct site audits and system certifications.
- Perform network configuration and setup.
- Configure VMS environments including Analytics.
- Upskill Sales teams, Channel Partners, and end-users by providing thorough product training.
- Conduct in-person and remote product demonstrations and lead technical discussions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.
- Travel or remote into sites to provide support for Sales and System Integrators and lead troubleshooting and training activities.
- Collaborate with the Customer Success and Support teams in providing post-sales support to customers.
- Closely support Sales teams in achieving sales targets and strategic goals.
- Be proactive in the entire Sales cycle, assisting in stakeholder identification and risk mitigation.
What We're Looking For
- A High School diploma, Technical Certificate, or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or Technology, or 5 years of experience in an IT/Technology environment.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without employer work permit sponsorship.
- A current, valid driver's license.
- A valid Passport and ability to travel between countries in North America.
Nice to Have
- 4-5 years of relevant IT experience with a relevant degree/diploma, or a minimum of 7 years of experience.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, MTA, LFS, MCSE, CompTIA A+.
- 3+ years of field experience in a VMS/Access control environment.
- Strong knowledge in networking and system design.
- Experience with Physical Security VMS, DVR, NVR, Cameras, Encoders, POE, POS, Access Control, and related technologies.
- Experience with industry players like Milestone, Genetec, Exacq, Avigilon, Axis, Hikvision, etc.
- Experience deploying a VMS and cameras from the ground up.
- Understanding of network and POE requirements for physical security.
- Knowledge and recent experience with programming and APIs.
- Strong troubleshooting logic and problem-solving skills with a focus on customer resolution.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills for documenting and explaining complex technical issues.
- Ability to manage pressure, multitask, prioritize, and communicate effectively during critical issues.
- Self-motivation, a passion for technology, and an aptitude for customer satisfaction.
- Excellent presentation skills.
Technical Stack
- IP networking: routers, firewalls, wireless technologies, RTP, TCP/IP, UDP, IGMP and Multicasting.
- Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting various operating systems, software, and hardware.
- Wireshark and Powershell or equivalent tools.
- Dell IDRAC and HP ILO OSs.
- Avigilon Alta, VMS environments, Analytics.

You will work side by side with Sales teams and collaborate closely with Customer Success and Support teams.
