Responsibilities
- Lead and support site Team and Line Leaders to maintain operational effectiveness
- Adhere to the established operational strategy and execution plans
- Maintain compliance with company policies and legal standards in health, safety, and quality
- Collaborate with logistics and operations managers to optimize co-pack processes
- Manage client expectations to ensure consistent and dependable service delivery
- Communicate and achieve production efficiency benchmarks
- Participate in customer review meetings as needed
- Meet labor efficiency goals through effective workforce management
- Leverage available systems to advance continuous improvement initiatives
- Partner with regional and group safety leads to implement depot-wide health and safety protocols
- Oversee safety systems and training programs to support incident reporting and compliance
- Attend and contribute to health and safety meetings at the site level
- Maintain a strong quality management system across co-packing activities
- Develop internal controls to safeguard business integrity and client brand standards
- Lead site personnel to meet key performance indicators in safety, quality, and productivity
- Operate within budget parameters and promote a culture of ongoing improvement
- Assist the Operations Manager in realizing commercial objectives
- Enforce food and product safety standards in line with MHRA regulations
- Uphold Good Manufacturing and Distribution Practice standards on-site
- Conduct disciplinary and grievance procedures following company policy, with HR guidance
- Address employee concerns promptly to prevent escalation
- Define and track KPIs for Team and Line Leaders
- Participate in performance development reviews, including goal setting
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and support to foster an engaged and empowered workforce
