Operate and monitor spray drying systems to produce flavor batches according to daily production schedules. Follow detailed shop floor instructions to prepare, process, and package materials accurately and efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Prepare flavor formulations using documented procedures and verify output against production requirements
- Monitor and interpret analytical data from equipment including particle size analyzers, pH meters, and Ro-Tap sieves
- Operate electric and gas-powered sit-down and reach trucks for material handling
- Verify packaging accuracy by cross-checking ZFIS records with customer order specifications
- Perform backflushing tasks promptly to ensure real-time inventory accuracy
- Maintain strict sanitation standards in all work areas to meet food safety and audit requirements
- Respond independently to operational changes or issues, particularly during off-shift hours
- Engage in cross-training to support broader team capabilities
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- Proven experience in process manufacturing, particularly with food-grade products
- Forklift certification with hands-on experience operating reach trucks
- Basic math skills and familiarity with SAP, Excel, and inventory control systems
- Working knowledge of GMPs and HACCP principles
- Ability to push/pull 400-pound drums and lift 50-pound bags as needed
- Capacity to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using SAP for production or inventory tracking
- Mechanical aptitude with comfort using hand tools
- Background in environments requiring clean, organized, and audit-ready workspaces
- Strong multitasking skills with consistent attention to safety and quality
