APAC Mississippi, Inc., a CRH company, is hiring a Production Lead to support the Production Supervisor in leading the production workforce and process. You will ensure the safe and efficient production of OES products that meet quality standards and customer specifications.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a proactive backup to the Shift Supervisor when necessary, communicating with prior shift management or production manager for critical operations information.
- Lead shift huddles to share daily production information and a safety topic, ensuring alignment on priorities for an efficient shift start.
- Assist the Production Supervisor in resolving conflicts between personnel.
- Schedule and communicate machine assignments for production employees based on the production schedule, priority needs, and labor constraints.
- Observe all production-related operations to confirm machine functionality, production volume, and adherence to operational and safety procedures.
- Identify and proactively address safety concerns, enforcing staff compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date operations data, including production hours earned, machine attainment, downtime, material levels, and scrap records.
- Assist production operators with providing timely meal breaks and running machines if necessary.
- Ensure all new employees receive necessary safety and technical training for an efficient ramp-up into their roles.
- Maintain accurate employee attendance and performance information.
- Provide frequent updates on production and personnel to the Immediate Supervisor and/or Production Manager.
- Proactively notify a Manager of any matters requiring immediate attention.
- Conduct daily VOP review.
- Perform other duties as assigned on a temporary or permanent basis.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; or at least one month of related experience; or an equivalent combination.
- Prior experience in production or manufacturing.
- At least 1 year of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Basic to advanced skills with MS Office, with the ability to complete reports and navigate multiple platforms.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. regularly.
- Must be able to work in a plant production environment involving indoor & outdoor work, exposure to noise, dust, and proximity to hot equipment.
- Ability to wear respirators and face shields when necessary; appropriate facial grooming required to ensure effectiveness.

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred, not required).
