Drive the evolution of automated yard crane technology by shaping product strategy from concept through deployment. In this role, you'll define functional requirements, develop technical blueprints, and manage relationships with external manufacturers to ensure solutions meet operational demands across global terminals.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and technology teams to define automation capabilities, system integrations, and user interface standards for yard cranes at various automation levels.
- Lead product lifecycle execution—from identifying value drivers to post-launch performance tracking—ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain the product roadmap, evaluating in-house versus third-party development based on cost, control, data ownership, and adaptability.
- Translate operational needs into technical specifications, working closely with terminals and technology partners to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
- Oversee safety compliance throughout design and deployment, coordinating with functional safety experts and leading safety case development for pilot implementations.
- Support automation retrofit strategies and contribute to quality assurance processes, including test planning and validation in collaboration with engineering and terminal teams.
- Ensure adherence to IT standards and operational technology cybersecurity protocols while advancing product maturity and deployment readiness.
- Manage product backlog priorities and coordinate implementation planning with cross-functional stakeholders to enable smooth adoption and process change.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years in product, program, or project leadership roles within technology or industrial operations, preferably in logistics, automation, or transport sectors.
- Proven experience in real-time operational environments with strong understanding of automated systems, industrial controls, and port infrastructure.
- Background in safety-critical systems and demonstrated ability to manage compliance with technical and regulatory standards.
- Experience building business cases, managing contracts, and leading cross-functional teams toward measurable outcomes.
- Strong communication skills in English, with fluency in technical documentation and stakeholder engagement.
- Familiarity with ERP/CMMS platforms, MS Office, and industrial IT/OT systems.
- Demonstrated ability to influence internal and external partners, drive consensus, and maintain rigorous documentation practices.
