As a Product Manager for Mirantis OpenStack on Kubernetes (MOSK), you will shape the market strategy and product direction for a scalable, open-source private cloud solution. This role blends technical depth with market execution, requiring strong collaboration across engineering, sales, and marketing to deliver compelling value in enterprise environments.
What You'll Do
You will define and execute the go-to-market plan for MOSK, including product positioning, pricing, packaging, and competitive differentiation. You'll create customer-facing materials such as roadmaps, pitch decks, and technical briefs that resonate with technical decision-makers and support field teams in strategic deals.
Engage directly with customers, analysts, and partners through briefings, webinars, and advisory boards to strengthen market presence. Identify ideal customer profiles and high-impact use cases, then develop repeatable sales playbooks for direct and channel-led motions.
Collect insights from early adopters and key accounts to influence product priorities and roadmap direction. Work closely with engineering to align technical capabilities with market needs, ensuring the product meets real-world enterprise demands.
Requirements
- 7+ years of product management experience in cloud infrastructure or enterprise software
- Strong technical foundation in OpenStack, Kubernetes, containers, and virtualization technologies
- Proven ability to collaborate with sales, marketing, and technical presales teams
- Experience crafting messaging and positioning for technical audiences and executive stakeholders
- Comfort representing the product externally with customers and industry analysts
- Familiarity with enterprise virtualization platforms such as VMware and KVM
- Track record managing product roadmaps and backlogs with a focus on market-facing outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of security, firewall, and storage architectures
- Experience with cloud-native frameworks including Docker, Cloud Foundry, Spring, Rails, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, WebSphere, or Kubeflow
- Understanding of compliance standards such as FedRAMP, SOC, and audit requirements for regulated industries
