Pocket Worlds is looking for a Product Manager, Gacha to take ownership of the core monetization systems within Highrise. In this role, you will design and optimize the virtual economy and gacha mechanics that sustain the business while maintaining high player satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Own the Highrise gacha system end-to-end, including mechanics, economy design, roadmap, and optimization.
- Identify monetization opportunities and player friction by analyzing data and listening to community sentiment.
- Design and iterate gacha mechanics such as drop rates, pity timers, event structures, and pricing to maximize revenue and retention.
- Run fast experiments: ship MVP changes, test player response, measure results, and iterate.
- Balance player psychology and business goals to ensure the gacha system strengthens player retention and loyalty.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, designers, economy experts, and community managers.
- Monitor and own key metrics including ARPU, conversion %, retention, churn, NPS, and player sentiment.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in product management, systems design, game design, or economy design in free-to-play games, OR demonstrable expertise as a VIP gacha player with a deep understanding of mechanics and player psychology.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret player data and sentiment to drive decisions.
- Proven track record of designing, launching, and optimizing monetization systems.
- Excellent communication skills—clear, direct, and able to build trust with both players and teammates.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, fully remote environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with community-driven products where player sentiment drives success.
- Familiarity with virtual worlds or avatar-driven economies.
- Strong background in probability, statistics, or behavioral economics.
